The fantastic @artistsupportpledge is the initiative of @matthewburrowsstudio. The COVID-19 pandemic has left many artists without work, exhibitions, or sales. The idea is simple: artists post images of artworks for sale. Artists sell works for no more than £200 + VAT plus P&P. Once an artist’s sales reach £1,000 they pledge to buy work from another artist taking part in the scheme. This creates a small but dynamic market where all can contribute whatever their level of success.

NEW ride test video just dropped (link in bio): One rider's review "Crazy!", another less eloquent rider "I would always go for the thing that gave you the biggest extreme thrill factor… going to a theme park you want to go on the fastest or the tallest… and that’s the equivalent - you want to go on the better ride”. So what's it all about?

Just before the pandemic struck, I'd been working with my team at @StudioGoGoLtd on the early development a VR experience for the Scrambler fairground ride (better known as the Twister in the UK).

It feels like a good time to share a short video edited from the results of our rider testing at Adventureland, New Brighton (thanks to David & Michael Wallis). It features some footage from our early VR content, and some great vox pops from local day-tripping scousers.

Why is it a good time to share this video? This week I realised that I’ve worked with five different Twister rides over the past two decades, on projects demonstrating a variety of creative uses of technologies; and I’m going to write an article on the subject over the next couple of weeks. I wanted my friends from New Brighton to have their moment in the sun first.
